Conceptual models and risk

On this page:

  • Overview
Conceptual models provide a way to show factors that can contribute to adverse ecological effects during an ecological risk assessment of a pest suppression product. In an example model, we show some novel system components, routes of exposure, and interacting processes that could impact ecological risk of a gene drive mosquito product.

Impact/Purpose

The purpose of this slide set is to introduce conceptual models as a way to capture factors that could contribute to ecological risk of an advanced biotechnology product.
