EPA Pacific Northwest Fire Research: Air Quality

The Pacific Ecological Systems Division (PESD) is researching the effects of wildfire and impacts on air quality. This research is part of a growing coalition of Oregon's federal and state agencies and interest groups coalescing in response to last season's devastating wildfires. Researchers from the Ecological Effects Branch are exploring how to manage wildfire through prescribed burns and measuring impacts on air quality through our enhanced air monitoring program.

Impact/Purpose

This presentation will be an opportunity for the BOSC AE subcommittee to learn more about EPA research on air quality in the Pacific Northwest
