Overview of Human Health Risk Assessment Slides

The objective of this course is to provide participants with a basic introduction to the fundamental concepts and terminology associated with risk assessments (e.g., human health, ecological, microbial, etc.). How the risk assessment process is related to and informs risk management policies will also be covered. 

Impact/Purpose

This will be the first in a series of presentations being made to the Risk Assessment Specialty Section (RASS) within the Society of Toxicology (SOT) as courses for trainees to introduce them to the science and practice of risk assessment. The materials being presented are tailored versions of previously cleared slide sets from the Risk Assessment Training and Experience (RATE) program within HERA and developed by ORD/CPHEA/HEEAD.
