Using EPA’s EnviroAtlas as a tool to make programming in your community more inclusive
On this page:
It is essential for EE centers to cultivate programming that is inviting to all community members. US EPA’s EnviroAtlas can help EE centers easily find insight about their communities with both population and environmental data to answer important questions that make programs more meaningful to communities, such as “who lives in our communities?” and “what is the surrounding environment like?” This hands-on session will introduce EnviroAtlas as a tool to help participants build location-specific demographic maps. Participants will leave the session with data and maps to justify which groups they’re designing programs for and why, helping EE centers to deliver relevant and locally-based EE programs.
