EPA Tribal Science Council Update

This presentation describes EPA Tribal Science Council, its mission and membership, and current activities, including the Council's May 2021 meeting focused on risk assessment and tribal lifeways, development of indigenous research protocols, and aquatic biota consumption literature review.h Protocols ¿

Impact/Purpose

The EPA Tribal Science Council is committed to the development of sound scientific and cultural approaches to meet the needs of tribes.  This meeting with EPA Region 1 Regional Tribal Operations Committee serves to increase awareness of the TSC within the region, reinforce lines of communication among the Region's tribal partners, and serve as a forum for EPA to get feedback on current TSC activities that will help us better meet our mission.
