The 2022 version of BMDS Online will contain all but two models (the Multitumor and Nested Logistic models) that are available in the desktop version of BMDS (BMDS 3.3). It will perform modeling analysis substantially faster than the desktop (Excel) version of BMDS and will also contain several new user interface enhancements such as enhanved graphics and the ability to share analysis via URL linkages.  Future versions of BMDS Online will add the Multitumor model and the Nested Logistic model, as well as planned new continuous nested and conintuous model averaging models.

Impact/Purpose

BMDS Online is the new online extension of EPA's benchmark dose software. Support and information on BMDS can be obtained from https://www.epa.gov/bmds. BMDS has been available as a desktop product for performing dose-response analysis in support of chemical risk assessments since 2000. There are well over 5,000 registered users of BMDS. It is now being made available online, making it accessible to a broader user group.
