Northeast Lakes Sediment Diatom Collaborative: Regional Collaboration and Perseverance

This article describes how the Northeast Lake Sediment Diatom Collaborative formed and has been working towards improving the science and management of northeast lakes at a regional scale, in part by participating in RARE projects on diatom taxonomic harmonization and data analyses.

Impact/Purpose

This is a non-peer reviewed newsletter article for LakeLine Magazine, a quarterly e-magazine published by the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS). LakeLine contains news, commentary and articles on topics affecting lakes, reservoirs and watersheds. Each issue becomes a valued resource for lake users and advocates.
