WHO Global Air Quality Guidelines 2021

This presentation provides a broad overview of the process used to develop the 2021 WHO Air Quality Guidelines, with a specific focus on the guideline for NO2 as well as the interim targets set by WHO.

Impact/Purpose

I was asked to present a brief overview of the process used to determine the 2021 WHO Air Quality Guidelines from my perspective as a member of the Guideline Development Group.  I was asked to specifically review how the short-term exposure guideline for NO2 was developed.
