On this page:

  • Overview
Presentation for CPHEA Senior Management Meeting, 14Aug24, Science Spotlight.  This is a description of current multi-institutional work on Valley fever with the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Michigan and the University of Idaho. Impact/Purpose

Anticipated impacts-short term:  Evaluate drone efficacy for air sample collection, fire as transport mechanism for fungal pathogens Anticipated impacts-long term:  Increased awareness of relationship climate change and invasive fungal infectionsMore accurate delineation of where pathogens exist, help prevent misdiagnoses and ensure that infected individuals will recover more quickly, fully with appropriate medical treatments
