Final, implementable nature-based strategy (NBS) projects for coastal resilience in Crisfield, MD will be presented at this eighth meeting of the Crisfield NBS Technical Working Group.  These projects are scoped using the results of storm attenuation modeling to identify approximately $10 million scale marsh, dune, living breakwater, or oyster reef on-the-ground footprints that ranked highest in terms of prioritization for Crisfield protection, implementability ("adaptive, independent, and additive"), and benefit-cost.  Rationale for selecting projects is explained, as well as limitations and next steps.

Impact/Purpose

The goal of this presentation is to integrate all storm modeling information with community values and preferences to designate priority, implementable nature-based strategy (NBS) projects for the community of Crisfield, MD.  This final Technical Working Group meeting and discussion will vet final research results prior to the final public meeting planned in September 2025.
