Welcome to the DE-US Meeting
Building a resilient city is a universal problem whose impact can be seen around the world yet is also a unique problem because it affects everyone differently and can have a greater impact on certain populations. In both the US and Germany government agencies have found that certain vulnerable populations (e.g., tribes, EJ communities, refugee/immigrants) are often disproportionately exposed and are more susceptible to the effects of environmental impacts. Environmental problems that are affecting these vulnerable populations can be reduced through the promotion of sustainability and resiliency of their environment and the application of environmental tools, procedures and assessments.
