On this page:

  • Overview
EPA will present the research approach for the recently awarded RARE proposal titled “Comprehensive Monitoring and Analysis of Dynamics of Harmful Algal Blooms (CMAD-HABs)”. The presentation will outline the goals, products, research approach and end products of the project, and solicit feedback from the states on this collaborative effort.

Impact/Purpose

Kickoff webinar with the states and regions to support the newly awarded RARE proposal titled “Comprehensive Monitoring and Analysis of Dynamics of Harmful Algal Blooms (CMAD-HABs)”. This effort will provide information about the occurrence and risk of Harmful Algal Blooms in lakes and reservoirs in four states from regions 4, 7, 8 and 10. It will support the development of an online tool that is underway in ORD for states to be able to monitor water bodies and inform sampling and analysis for HABs. This webinar will allow the HABs coordinators for the states of OR, UT, KS and NC to learn and give feedback about the RARE project.
