Contribution to Tillamook Estuaries Partnership Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan
In 2016, the U.S. EPA, Office of Research and Development in collaboration with the Tillamook Estuaries Partnership initiated a study in Tillamook Bay and its watershed. This study was focused on understanding how changes in watersheds, ocean conditions, and weather impact water quality and production of ecosystem goods and services (EGS) in estuarine ecosystems, particularly Tillamook Bay. One application of this research is to identify actions that may sustain improvements in water quality and EGS production in the face of different types of environmental change. The research has three major components: 1) estuarine water quality, 2) watershed water quantity and quality, and 3) ecosystem goods and services.
