Adaptation Design Tool: Train-the-Trainers Course Introduction

On this page:

  • Overview
This presentation is based on slides and materials that have already been published and/or used in previous presentations. It introduces EPA's Adaptation Design Tool for resilient natural resources--including the relationship to concepts of vulnerability and resilience, how the tool is used, what the tool does and does not do, and the course schedule for the associated online training modules.

Impact/Purpose

At the invitation of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation's Resilient Reefs Initiative, and participating partner Conservatoire d'espaces naturals Nouvelle-Caledonie, EPA will facilitate a training on EPA's Adaptation Design Tool (ADT) for use by practitioners in New Caledonia. The pre-existing, self-paced online course for the ADT will be used to "train-the-trainers", who will then deliver a Fench translation of the training to representatives of the three Provinces of New Caledonia who will use it to evaluate and design their coral reef management programs and strategies to be adaptation- and resilience-based.
