US EPA’s Report on the Environment (ROE)—Overview and Website
On this page:
EPA’s Report on the Environment (ROE) brings together the most reliable and readily available indicators to create a comprehensive view of the nation’s environmental and human health status and trends. The indicators provide an objective basis for Agency decision making, planning, and tracking. The ROE program is also building the Agency’s capacity to respond to the growing need for more in-depth analyses and investigations of site-specific, regional, and national-scale conditions through the interpretation of indicator trends. The May 6th webinar will highlight the ROE program history, future vision and the interactive ROE website, home to the 80+ ROE scientific indicators.
The presenter will describe the origin and purpose of the cross-Agency ROE program and indicators and its evolution to a fully online, interactive compendium of indicators. Although the ROE is primarily focused at the national level, the presenter will provide examples of how the ROE can also be a useful information source for local, state, and regional applications and will include an overview demonstration of the website content and interactive graphics.
