PBPK model and evaluation examples: Chromium & Chloroform-presentation

On this page:

  • Overview
Physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models can estimate absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination (ADME) of chemicals in the body. There are multiple alternative models or analyses in the literature, and the models may be of low quality or unsuitable for some uses.

Impact/Purpose

This is a presentation to California EPA as part of an in-person training seminar. It outlines physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model application and development issues, and presents two examples (hexavalent chromium and chloroform).
