Use of Epidemiology Studies in Risk Assessment-Presentation

At the end of the lecture, students will be able to discuss how results of epidemiology studies are used in the four components of risk assessment, identify sources of bias and uncertainties in measures of association, and understand approaches to the synthesis and integration of evidence to draw conclusions about potential hazard. Students will also be exposed to examples of the use of epidemiological results in dose response.

Impact/Purpose

This is a presentation that will be given as a lecture to a graduate level course on chemical risk assessment at the University of Maryland, School of Public Health, Environmental Health Risk Assessment on September 30, 2019.
