Interdependence exists between toxicology and regulatory development. Many government programs use the results of toxicology studies to support regulation of chemicals and other toxic substances. Some government programs impose regulations on the conduct of toxicology studies, while other programs have more informal methods of encouraging and promoting high-quality toxicology studies. This chapter provides an overview of key resources in regulatory toxicology as well as major publications on the past 10 years.

Impact/Purpose

To provide an updated listing of resources related to regulatory toxicology as part of the revised edition of Information Resources in Toxicology. This is a book chapter that lists books, journals, and recent articles related to regulatory toxicology. As the field of toxicology continues to evolve, so will regulatory development. This chapter provides an overview of key resources in regulatory toxicology as well as major publications for the past 10 years.
