IRIS Methylmercury (MeHg) Assessment: Evaluation of Developmental Neurotoxicity (DNT)

The focus is on the IRIS program, the methylmercury IRIS assessment, and a discussion on how NAMs/AOPs could support assessments, including those that have less data than the methylmercury IRIS assessment.

Impact/Purpose

This presentation will be given to attendees of the EPA developmental neurotoxicity journal club, which includes many new postdocs.  Therefore, the presentation will include background information about IRIS assessments. Then it will focus on the IRIS methylmercury assessment and a published review of n-butanol toxicity to use as examples to initiate discussion on how NAMs/AOPs might be used to support IRIS assessment.
