Among different types of pollutants, air pollution is the dominant driver of mortality on the global scale. This presentation at the 2024 National Air Quality Conference (NAQC) presents the major connections between air pollution, including particulate matter and nitrous oxide, to short and long term human health effect, including cardiovascular health and mortality. Scientific findings presented are a synthesis of many air quality and health effect publications.
