Investigating how exposure to PFAS during pregnancy affects health

This presentation will be given to Holly Springs High School students in the AP Environmental Science class. The goal of this presentation is to give students a broad overview of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and how researchers can use a variety of experimental methods to study their potential effects on human health. The talk will primarily focus on pregnancy outcomes and will highlight some of my prior work as examples of how animal studies and cell culture studies can support our understanding of the toxicological effects of environmental contaminants.
