US Federal Chemical Regulations & Opportunities for Green Chemistry

This presentation will provide college students with a brief overview of different risk assessments across the federal government, including for new & existing chemicals under TSCA, pesticides, and food additives. The second part of the presentation will focus on the safer choice program at EPA, with some of the important partnerships and programs that are helping create a future with more green and sustainable chemistry. 

Impact/Purpose

This presentation will provide college-aged students with an overview of different assessment processes as well as the safer choice program. The intent is to inspire students interested in green chemistry to see the incredible opportunity and potential within the government to pursue this field.
