The purpose of this module is to describe the different methods of chemical mixtures risk assessment.   Enabling Learning Objectives include: Define cumulative risk assessment. Explain the Component Methods Explain the Fraction Methods Explain the Whole Mixture Method Explain the Sufficient Similarity Method

Impact/Purpose

This course provides an overview of chemical mixtures risk assessment, including component methods, fraction methods, whole mixture methods, and sufficient similarity methods. We will also discuss cumulative risk assessment and supplemental materials, including pathogens and physical agents and a cumulative risk assessment case study. By the end of this course trainees should be able to describe the different methods of chemical mixtures risk assessment. The understandings gained from this course are intended to be a benefit to those who are not experts in chemical mixtures risk assessment within the Agency, as well as with Tribes and State and Local agencies.
