MCSimMod: A New R Package for Implementation and Application of PK Models - HTTK Partners Meeting Presentation

On this page:

  • Overview
The R package MCSimMod is a flexible and efficient tool for implementation and application of PBPK and other ODE models. Unlike acslX, a comparable but now defunct system for working with ODE models, MCSimMod is based on free and open-source software. One can install MCSimMod by downloading the source code and entering a single statement at the R command line. Furthermore, the languages required to use it, R and MCSim, are already familiar to many in the PBPK modeling community. We expect that MCSimMod will greatly simplify the processes of developing, applying, and sharing PBPK models.

Impact/Purpose

This Sub-Product consists of PowerPoint slides to be presented at the U.S. EPA "HTTK Partners Meeting" in December 2024. The slides describe a new R package, MCSimMod, that can be used to implement and apply pharmacokinetic (PK) models and other ordinary differential equation (ODE) models.
