aquametBio R package

This R package is used to calculate metrics and indicators for fish, macroinvertebrates, and zooplankton for the National Lakes Assessment and the National Rivers and Streams Assessment. 

Impact/Purpose

This R package was created to preserve code used to calculate biological metrics for the National Lakes Assessment (NLA) and the National Rivers and Streams Assessment (NRSA). It includes functions to calculate metrics for fish, benthic macroinvertebrates, and zooplankton, as well as the multimetric indices based on those metrics that are used in measuring condition in the NLA and NRSA. This package will be of interest to states and tribes that are interested in generating metrics and indices as used in the NLA and NRSA because it provides a simplified way of replicating those calculations.
