This presentation provides information compiled from studies and planning documents about the ditch drainage system in Crisfield, MD, including mapping projects, infrastructure and maintenance planning, and how residents can help ensure the system is working. This overview is provided for the Crisfield Resilience Academy, an initiative to engage community members in Crisfield, MD in learning about coastal resilience. 

Impact/Purpose

This presentation provides information about Crisfield's ditch drainage maintenance system for members of the Crisfield, MD community. This is part of an educational series on coastal resilience being provided to engage and inform community members who are currently experiencing severe impacts from coastal flooding. This is part of a larger project to provide research and technical assistance to the community on nature based solutions to protect the community from storms.
