A model-based assessment of human disturbance on benthic macroinvertebrate assemblages

On this page:

  • Overview
This presentation outlines recent advances using joint species distribution models to enhance biological monitoring programs and analysis.

Impact/Purpose

This presentation outlines recent applications of joint species distribution models for biological monitoring and assessment. Joint species distribution models are extremely powerful but complex and unfamiliar to many. By presenting our recent advances to researchers from other federal agencies, we make these models more accessible. Further, following this presentation will be an open discussion that will create a pathway for future research collaborations and cross-agency partnerships.
