Temperature Tolerance Analyses on Benthic Macroinvertebrate Data in Freshwater Streams in the MidAtlantic Region

On this page:

  • Overview
This presentation discusses tools and models developed under AE.6.4.3 (e.g., thermal tolerance analyses for Oregon and Washington) and the predictive thermal tolerance model proposed under ACE.408.5.5. The training will also cover existing R Shiny Apps and other applications that assist with data analysis from continuous sensors in conjunction with discrete biological samples to understand environmental changes. This training webinar focuses on data from the Mid-Atlantic region.

Impact/Purpose

The purpose of this presentation and webinar is to discuss the thermal tolerance modeling completed using benthic macroinvertebrate data from the Mid-Atlantic states. This webinar also provides training in the analyses and tools used, as well as discuss the applications of the results for state programs and Clean Water Act responsibilities.
