NARS Shiny App Life Cycle Changes
On this page:
When first developed to support the National Aquatic Resource Surveys (NARS), the NARS Data Extraction Tool required a public-facing platform in order to be accessible by state and tribal crews. At that time, the only option available was cloud.gov. Using cloud.gov was very complicated because the user interface was not very friendly, and assistance was required from IT personnel just to upload the application. Eventually, EPA allowed public-facing apps on the DMAP Posit Connect platform, a much more user-friendly approach for developers to share R Shiny applications. This presentation for the Developers Guild Webinar will provide an overview of the experience of using cloud.gov and transitioning to Posit Connect.
