Crisfield Nature-Based Strategies Research: Technical Working Group Meeting 6

Technical Working Group meeting to discuss and interpret additional results from modeling effectiveness of Crisfield proposed nature-based strategies (NBS) at attenuating wave energy and providing co-benefits.  Goal is to discuss in what what these Batch 1 results are meaningful for Crisfield to evaluate proposed implementation of which NBS projects and design for subsequent Batch 2 modeling.  Group will also interpret draft co-benefit spatial calculations and decision analysis implications to identify approaches that can be used to identify project scale locations for further analysis.  Finally, there will also be discussion of how to connect NSB to resilience planning, and climate-smart design for implementation and monitoring.

Impact/Purpose

This technical discussion will vet analysis results and incorporated expert stakeholder feedback into results and interpretation.  This will help the community of Crisfield make decisions about coastal resilience implementation.
