This book chapter for the Encyclopedia of Toxicology summarizes the state of the science for the environmental chemical 4-tert-Octyl phenol. The chapter summarizes uses of the chemical, its environmental fate, what is known about its effects in animals and assoications with exposure in human populations and ecosystems. This is a broad overview summary of the chemical for inclusion as a book chapter. 

Impact/Purpose

This book chapter on 4-Tert-Octylphenol is an update to a chapter that I wrote 5 years ago. This chapter will be included in the Encyclopedia of Toxicology.
